Love has been a great force in the lives of many people, and sportsmen are not behind in the same. Talking about sports, Roger Federer has had a record-breaking career and he has been well supported in his career by his wife, his love, Mirka Federer.
Both Roger and Mirka belong to the field of tennis, where Mirka is a former Women’s Association Tennis Player. Mirka was actually born in Bojnice in Slovakia before her family emigrated to Switzerland at the age of two.
She is a former tennis player who represented Switzerland at all four grand slam tournaments during her career. Mirka Federer was once a top-100 tennis player but retired from the game in 2002 after failing to recover from a persistent foot injury.
After retiring from tennis, Mirka took up the job of Roger’s public relations manager and handled much of his media affairs. Roger’s and Mirka’s love story started after they spent two weeks together in Sydney Olympics together in 2000. Later, they married at a private wedding ceremony at Wenkenhof Villa in Basel, Federer’s home town, in April 2009, with Mirka giving birth to identical twin girls Myla Rose and Charlene Riva the same year. Later in 2014, they had identical twin boys Lenny and Leo Federer.
Federer spends much of his time away from his family home in his native Switzerland. However, he takes his four children and his wife with him insisting they are his top priority.
