He went to take a round of the “Universe”. While Lord Ganesha did not go anywhere. He stood in front of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and started walking around them.
Both, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were surprised to see this! Lord Ganesha took 7 rounds around them and stood in front of them by doing “Namaste”.

But, the only way he could have come out of his meditation was by his grandson’s birth!
After, the two sons of Lord Ganesha named “Shubh and Labh” were born. Goddess Parvati took them into the cave where Lord Shiva was meditating!
He listened to his grandson’s cries and came out of his meditation. Then, both Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva hugged their grandsons and started singing lullaby!
